Abstract

The Administration of Justice in the Political Constitution of the Republic of Panama develops and describes specific aspects regarding the special and specific functions that constitute the Judicial Branch in this case, as this body is authorized to judge Panamanian Deputies. It outlines key concepts that are subject to analysis, which will be addressed in this research and will serve as the release valve that needs to be corrected to perfect our judicial system.

Author Biography / See

Ian Bowen, Tribunal Electoral

Panamanian. Graduated with a degree in Law and Political Science from the Santa María La Antigua University, he has a Master's degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure from the Institute of Legal Study and Research (INEJ). Diplomas in Administrative, Criminal and Electoral Law.

He has practiced law in the private sphere, working in prestigious law firms in the country; in 2016 he entered public service as a legal assistant in the General Secretariat of the Electoral Tribunal. he has participated in the organization of various international academic activities such as the Meetings of Democratic Studies, Congress of Democracy and Electoral Law, among others.

The graduate Bowen Sánchez has been a speaker at the academic and awareness-raising sessions on the electoral reforms of 2017-2019.

He worked as an Academic Researcher at the Institute of Democratic Studies (INED) of the Electoral Tribunal of Panama, thus publishing various articles such as those titled “The National Feminist Party” and “Key concepts about Electoral observation from the national and international perspective” in Mundo Electoral Magazine and has prepared an academic document with the title “Bibliographic Compendium on Democracy, Elections and Political Parties in Panama, he served as a Lawyer in the General Secretariat and currently serves as Legal Advisor in the National Directorate of Electoral Organization of the Court Electoral of Panama.
